Jon Kelman, DVM
Dr. Kelman's Bio
Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Kelman graduated from Clark University with a degree in biology before completing his master’s degree at the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a degree in microbiology in 1984. He worked for 5 years at the Channing Laboratory, researching bacterial infectious diseases before co-founding the Immucell Corporation, which conducts human and veterinary diagnostic and therapeutic product research. He graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 before starting as a Veterinarian at Apple Country Animal Hospital in Stow, MA. Dr. Kelman purchased Great Road Veterinary Hospital in April of 2001.
Dr. Kelman’s interest in animals started during middle school while milking and haying for Fairlawn Farm in Wallingford, CT. Dr. Kelman has maintained an interest in farms, doing occasional farm calls and volunteering on the Codman Farm Board in his hometown of Lincoln, MA. He is also on the Public Health and Infectious Disease Committee of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and volunteers as a mentor at the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
In his limited free time, Dr. Kelman loves fly-fishing, cooking, cycling, and splitting wood. He lives in Lincoln with his wife, Pam, and three daughters, Alison, Elizabeth, and Emily, their Golden Retrievers, Isabel and Henry, and cat named Mouse.

Jennifer Wu, VMD

Jennifer Wu, VMD, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. She worked at a mixed animal practice on the New Hampshire Seacoast before moving to an exclusively small animal practice in Massachusetts. She has three children in elementary and middle school. She enjoys kayaking, reading, bicycling, and hiking.

Leigh DeMarco, DVM

Dr. DeMarco is a native Texan but has lived in New England since earning her B.S. in Biology from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
She then went on the earn her medical degree from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
For the past 20 years, she has been treating dogs and cats as a general practitioner in private practice and is experienced in everything from preventive medicine to general surgery.
When she is not working, she enjoys being active at the gym or running and traveling with her husband and two children. She currently has two fur babies, Biscuit and Gravy.

Leo S.
Leo's Bio
Client Services Representative
Leo comes to NEVP with six years of experience in veterinary medicine, both in general practice and specialty. He is passionate about following advances in nutrition and oncology and enjoys supporting pets as they come out of surgery and need a little extra love. Leo lives with his wife and two cats, Phoebus and Fitzroy, and when not working, loves video games, crocheting, hiking, and watching Vegas Golden Knights hockey.

Donna S.
Donna's Bio
Donna joined GRVH in February 2018, bringing with her over 25 years’ experience in the animal care field. She has worked in general practice, emergency medicine as well as in specialty (dermatology) medicine. Donna has a B.S. in Zoology, along with double minors in Fisheries/Wildlife Biology and Psychology.
Donna lives in Westford with her husband Todd, and three daughters, Rebecca, Alexa and Elizabeth. She has two 8-year-old sibling cats named “Cookie” and “Cinnamon” (rescued at 2 weeks of age after their mother died), a 4-year-old male Dutch rabbit named “Jellybean” as well as a small fresh water fish tank with a variety of inhabitants (Beta fish, tiger barb, snail, neon tetra). The family is still mourning the loss of their 12-year-old Golden Retriever, “Champ”.
In her free time, Donna enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, traveling to Niagara Falls into Canada, as well as going to the beach or amusement park.

Kathi D.
Kathi's Bio
Kathi works behind the scenes, and keeps GRVH’s clinic running smoothly. Kathi has worked as the caretaker of GRVH’s kennel since 2003. Her main responsibilities include putting together surgical packs, cleaning the kennels, and feeding the boarding animals. Originally from Patterson, NJ, Kathi now lives with her family in Harvard, her dog, Dakota (mix), and her cat, Sundance. In her free time Kathi loves to quilt.

Julia C., CVT
Julia's Bio
Julia recently graduated from the UMass Amherst/Mount Ida veterinary technology program. She is excited to join the team at GVRH. Julia is passionate about helping patients and their families, with a particular soft spot for our feline friends. In addition to her student Fear Free Handling certification, she is an AAFP Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional. In her free time, she can be found crocheting and wrangling her feisty tortie Ruby.

Kristina G., CVT
Kristina's Bio
Technician Supervisor
Kristina began her career following graduating from UMass Amherst with a Bachelors in Animal Science. Since then, she has worked up the ladder from being a Technician Assistant to Technician Supervisor. She has worked in Emergency and Surgery Veterinary Settings. Kristina has worked with Large animals, small, exotic, and aquatic! Using the knowledge, she gained during these adventures she earned her CVT License in 2020.

Christine Suero
Christine's Bio
Practice Manager
Christine grew up in Seattle, WA, and has been in Massachusetts since 2017. She has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and German from the University of Washington in Seattle.
After college, she went to work at a specialty animal retail store. This inspired her to continue her passion for working with animals which eventually led her to the veterinary field. She spent several years supporting clients with very ill beloved family pets in an emergency practice setting. She loves being a welcoming presence in the hospital. She spent the last year and a half working at Central Animal Hospital in Stoneham. She is excited to get to know all of the clients and patients at Great Road!
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their rescue kitty, Miso, as well as reading, spending time outdoors, exploring the city, and discovering all the best local restaurants.

Dana S.

Veterinary Technician
I have always had a passion for animals. In August 2019, I began working as a receptionist at an emergency and specialty hospital in Yonkers, New York. When I moved back to Massachusetts, I continued my career at another emergency and specialty hospital and a general practice clinic. I am excited to join this team at Great Road Vet Hospital and further my career. I plan on continuing my education and becoming a certified technician. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my dog Max, dancing, and watching the Bruins.

Emma M.

CSR supervisor
Emma started her career in veterinary medicine as a front desk receptionist in 2020. Once she graduated from college with a biology degree in 2022, she decided to grow and develop her career in veterinary management where she eventually ended up becoming a supervisor with Great Road. She has a passion for customer service and loves being a welcoming presence in the hospital. In her spare time, Emma loves to spend time with her significant other, family, and friends. In her spare time, Emma can also be found talking about Disney, planning her next Disney trips, and making jewelry as part of her Disney-inspired small business. She looks forward to meeting all of the clients and patients!
